18/NOV/2016: Release of DCS World 2.0.4 with DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Map Extension Pack. Today we will be releasing the next update to DCS World 2.0, version 2.0.4. The primary addition to this update is the inclusion of the Extension Pack for the DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range map. This extension includes 13 new airfields and several new cities and towns. One of the new airfields is Tonopah Test and Training Range airfield, that was home to the “Red Eagles” flying Russian-developed aircraft and the F-117A “Stealth Fighter” wing. This is a FREE extension pack to owners of the Nevada map. Enjoy! If you do not already own the Nevada map, you can purchase it In the DCS E-Shop. View the new Extension Pack airfields in the video. Note that the Nevada map requires DCS World 2.0 at the time and is not compatible with DCS World 1.5.

OCT-2016: The last big feature is now added to the Nevada map update: the Tonopah Test and Training Range (TTR) Airfield. We consider this the cornerstone of the update. Not only does the TTR airfield act as a divert airfield for Red Flag exercises, it was also home to the Red Eagles (Soviet fighters flown by US aircrews) and the F-117 stealth strike aircraft.

SEPT-2016: A key part of bringing the NTTR map out of early access is fleshing out the number of airfields, towns, and landmarks. As for the airfields, we are adding several new military and civilian locations to operate from. Not only do these new airfields provide a wealth of new possibilities for single player missions, they also provides much greater distances between airfields (Tonopah to Laughlin for example) for multiplayer matches. Progress on the updated map is going well and we expect to release later in 2016.

ENE-16: We continue working on improvements to the Nevada map that includes fixing bugs and implementing new features. The following will be available in the coming months: - Add Tonopah Air Force Base - Add additional casino/hotels to the Las Vegas strip - Add additional airfields and landing strips to the central (detailed) portion of the map - Add the National Training Center (NTC) - Improved grass and ground clutter - Other smaller improvements When these additional features are added and the module is final, the cost of the map will likely increase. However, these new features will be free to those that already own the map.
