Today's mission is a multiple engagement hop against 3 of our best Aggressor pilots. The first engagement will be a 1 vs 1 Guns Only BFM Air Combat Training or ACT from HIGH altitude at 24000 feet MSL. ENFIELD 1-1 (F-5E) from VFC-13 will be flown by Capt Gavin Ricker Callsign "PYRO". The second engagement will be a 1 vs 1 Guns Only BFM ACT from MEDIUM  altitude at 14000 feet MSL. FORD 1-1 (F-16C) from the 414th will be flown by Capt John Anderson Callsign "COBRA". The third engagement willl be a 1 vs 1 Guns Only BFM ACT from LOW altitude at 6000 feet MSL. PONTIAC 1-1 (F-15C) from the 65th will be flown by Lt Col Karl Konig Callsign "DEALER". This mission will test your BFM skills and prepare you for the missions to come. You will perform RANGE CHECK-IN, CHECK-OUT, FENCE-IN and FENCE-OUT calls. I will instruct the G-AWARENESS test. DARKSTAR will provide GCI. The Hard Deck Restriction is in effect at 100' AGL. Do not break the Hard Deck or you will fail the engagement. You can call TERMINATE at anytime to end the engagement. Maintain 400 knots ingress to the range to ensure you have enough fuel for ACT. You are authorized to drop your external tank when empty or before engaging. You are allowed to refuel with any available tankers at the completion of the exercise. I'll be monitoring your comms and attack techniques. Good luck!

REDFOR does not use GPS so to align the INS do the following:

Update INS via TCN

1. Coordinates of the first waypoint can be used to set own coordinates after INS align completed
 a) On HSI page choose wpt 0 using PB12 "up" or PB13 "dn", then press PB14 "WPDSG"
 b) On HSI page press PB7 "UPDT", press PB7 "DSG", press PB6 "ACPT"

2. In the case the plane has moved since start of the mission: you can use TCN position update after INS align completed
 a) TACAN beacon data must be saved in MC
 b) Turn on the TACAN and set channel and band of the beacon, set T/R mode; you must receive bearing and range
 c) On HSI page press PB7 "UPDT", press PB6 "TCN", press PB6 "ACPT"

Mission Success Criteria:
Destroy all identified bandits.
