OVERVIEW
29 January 2016. Dutch Prime Minister Rutte has just finished a press conference: “Recent attacks make it clear that Islamic State (ISIS) still poses a threat to our security, says Prime Minister Rutte. According to the cabinet, it is therefore important to be able to bomb the supply routes of the terrorists in Syria. "Tackling the supply lines and roadside bomb factories in eastern Syria is crucial," said Rutte. As part of this mission, four Royal Netherlands Air Force RNLAF) F-16s have already begun operations striking ISIS bases in the Syria area of operations as part of a Coalition of forces.
ISIS forces recently cleared a small village in grid EV28 and killed or chased out the civilian population. You are to destroy the ISIS forces there to allow the civilians to regain control of the area.
You are Wolf 11, a RNLAF F-16. For this mission your squadron has been given permission to use the Turkish base at Gaziantep (in reality the NAF were based in Jordan).
EXECUTION
- Depart from Runway 10 and head to Steer point (SP)1. Climb to Flight Level 200 (20,000ft on pressure 29.92).
- A British RAF MQ-9 Reaper drone, callsign LA59, is over the target and will give you targeting information as you approach SP1.
- You will be tasked with destroying 4 targets. Use 1 x GBU-12 to attack each target.
- Use Steer point 2 each time to overlay the coordinates that the Reaper drone gives you.

FRIENDLY FORCES
- WOLF 12 – Was meant to fly as your wingman but has had a technical failure and has aborted at startup.
- NINJA 31/32 – 2 x RNLAF F16 – due to recover to Gaziantep in the next few minutes after their sortie.
- RAGE 71/72 – 2 x USAF F15 is the CAP aircraft for this sector.
- OVERLORD 21 – 1 x USAF E3D AWACS
- LIFTER 91/92 – 2 x USAF UH60 Special Forces. Headed for the ISIS compound to gather intelligence.
ENEMY FORCES
- SAM – Nil.
- MANPAD – SA-18 IGLA Highly Likely.
- AAA – Several truck mounted ZSU-23 in the area.
- Enemy Air – None expected.

PAYLOAD
Your aircraft is armed with 4 x GBU-12, a targeting pod and a centreline fuel tank. You have 2x AIM-9 and 2x AMRAAM for self-defence.
